Sand Dunes, U, Tibet

Posted by
Nik (Bude, United Kingdom) on 21 February 2012 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

We encountered this strange area of sand dunes not long after turning south from the massive river valley of the Yarlung Tsangpo (the youthful Brahmaputra river). Tibet is always described as a high altitude desert but never did I see this more graphically illustrated than here.

Please have a look at my other photoblog at http://www.nomadlens.com where I post daily images of the South West of England (where I live). I really appreciate your comments on both of them.
